Any new patient coming to TULIPS for OP, IP, Day-care and Emergency is registered and given an automatically-generated Unique ID number which is the Hospital number or Registration Number.

This number will hold all the hospital records of every patient. IP patients will receive a different number in addition to Hospital numbers.

The patient is directed to Medical Records Department for any changes in the information provided. Medical Records Department makes the changes after receiving relevant ID proof.

Patient Guidance

Patient Admission

  • Patient requiring admission to the hospital should first contact the admission counter for completing admission formalities. Prior to admission, registration should be completed and the patient should have a registration card.
  • Different categories of rooms are available at the hospital at a different tariff. Enquiries may be made with the admission counter for information about room tariffs and availability of rooms.
  • Every effort will be made to ensure patients get the room of their choice. However, if a particular room is not available, we will temporarily accommodate the patient in the nearest alternate type of room and later transfer them. In such cases, charges for the alternate room will be based only on the standardized tariff for such room.
  • Every patient admitted will receive an Identity band on their wrists until discharged. Once the discharge is intimated the attending nurse will remove the ID band before the patient leaves the hospital.

Patient Attender

Only one person will be permitted to stay with the patient during their hospitalization. Patient attenders will be issued an “Attenders Pass” at the time of admission. They must carry these passes with them all the time while at the hospital and are expected to produce the same to the security staff on duty, on demand. Attenders passes should be surrendered to the ward secretaries or nursing staff at the time of discharge

Visitors Policy

Visitors are allowed between 5pm – 7pm. During that time visitors are requested to maintain silence within the hospital premises, to avoid disturbing the tranquility of other patients
